Zoanthid Anatomy

To make identification easier we must first provide ourselves with simple landmarks to follow so that we can better group different types of zoas by their characteristics. While it was initially appealing to use drawings from scientific texts we decided that ultimately it would be easier to use a more hobby-friendly breakdown of the parts a zoanthid is comprised of. With that, we’ve broken down zoas into three main parts; skirts(tentacles), the body(center mass) and finally, the mouth.
